Tom Currier established an overnight bus service called SleepBus but not that as high tech as Elon Musk’s Hyperloop train, that passengers can ‘teleport’ trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles and it’s been running already.
Passengers will pay $48 a piece to rent out bunks in 20-bed Volvo sleeper couch. The bus offers a lounge area with free coffee, tea, Wi-FI connection and a twin-sized plain narrow bed. The vehicle will start to leave at 11 p.m from Caltrain station in South San Fran market and will arrive at Santa Monica Pier at 6 a.m.
SleepBus idea comes from Currier’s desire to build communities including his vision to build an entirely new city located hours outside of San Fran. This includes around five million creative workers and remote employees with jobs related in virtual and augmented reality.
“It would basically be like you teleported to L.A. It would be cool,” Currier said.
