Airbus, the airplane company, has made the city perfect motorcycle, and it’s a kind of manufacturing that still isn’t cheap, as long as you can spend $57,000.
For that kind of spending, you’ll get an ultra-light, speedy, electric motorcycle called Light Rider.
Light Rider is of Airbus’s German-based APWorks that is full of fancy German engineering. It weighs in just 77 pounds, and the all-electric motor takes 0-30mph in three seconds. 50mph is it’s top speed and battery lasts for 40 miles.
The reason why the bike is so light, it’s because the frame is printed up one 60-micron layer, so the pieces can easily be made hollow. The hollow channels allow for cable and pipe routing, to keep parts safe and to make the overall look of the Light Rider be clean and sleek.
The Light Rider is said to be in limited run of 50 units that retails for $57,000 each.
