And who don’t want a brand new car? A customized one? Well, Toyota’s new concept of car ownership called uBox can actually able to customize car’s vents, dashboard display fixtures and door trim with 3D printing, and there will be an online hub to share their own designs.
It targets entrepreneurs even uBox customers who love customizing vehicles from recreational into a kind of mobile office with reconfigurable interior.
It is created in collaboration with graduate students at Clemson University’s International Center for Automotive Research.
Toyota’s uBox concept meant to help students learn the ins and outs of car design and manufacturing. Thus, Toyota may roll out their ideas into future designs.
